Fantastic backpack for travelling, makes getting through the airport much quicker without the hassle of waiting on your luggage, and the amount of different compartments is great. I can fit enough clothes and everything I need in it for 2 weeks as a solo traveller.
Would highly recommend!!

This is a great solution for approved cabin luggage with an excellent carrying capacity . I love the fact that there are several compartments, each with separate zip access. It's compact and light.

Best carry-on luggage ever
I was on a five day holiday trip and could easily pack more than enough in this luggage. Backpack and waist straps were excellent and made carrying a breeze. After some shopping the bag was a bit full and that's when the external compression straps came in handy.

Minimizing your need for Cecked luggage
The Equator 2.0 Backpackers Carry On is a versatile bag when you want to avoid Checked baggage. It's extremely light and easy to carry on you back or by the many carry handles.

EQUATOR 2 BACKPACKERS CARRY ON
Arrived quickly and the quality appears excellent; the foldaway straps work well, and the size, despite being stuffed with gear carried onto a BA Airbus flight and fitted comfortably into the lockers. The internal, and external compression straps work well.
I flew back on Air Italy who have a marginally different cabin bag size requirement (3cm less depth) than BA and I packed this in my hold bag. There was no need; the Air Italy pax paid no attention to cabin bag size and with the compression straps I would probably have met the (ignored) limit

Could not have designed it better myself!
I originally purchased the Equator 2.0 Backpackers Carry on via Amazon, but it was faulty (one of the 'D' rings for the shoulder strap was missing). I contacted Cabinmax Direct and their customer service dept was really helpful, apologetic re the one I had to return to Amazon, advised me if I bought direct from them, they would personally check my order before it was sent, also made sure I was not out of pocket re postage - great Customer Service. I've delayed posting a review until my son packed for his 5 week trip around Europe. This backpack is amazing, loads of pockets, all with zips, all in the right places and right sizes (although its a slight shame the waiststraps are not slightly longer, so the handy pocket could be a bigger size). I particularly like how the whole backpack opens up like a suitcase, providing easy access, but is very secure once zipped and the main outside flap is clipped into place. I would advise buying a set of packing cubes (which Cabin max sell but I actually purchased on Amazon) these keep the backpack neat and tidy for travelling and finding belongings with ease. I am glad I chose this one over the £30 ones, the only carry on backpack I found with waist and chest straps. These both tuck away very neatly if you want to turn it into a carry on case. Hoping my son will not need to use the hidden waterproof cover in the bottom zipped pocket! but if weather unkind its very easy to remove and use. The zips, compression straps and clips appear strong and providing not overfull allows the bag to be 'shrunk' to airline carry on sizes. Bit of a long review but I hope it helps you - as I looked at a lot!! If the review allows; I will post an update when my son returns to see how it fared after 5 weeks in 15 countries!!!

So far so good
The backpack Equator 2.0 seems to be good at first look. I did not travel with it yet so it's a bit premature to give a proper verdict (the reason i gave only 4 stars). One thing that is not so clear is related to the internal volume. On the website is specified as having 46L, but on the label it came with it's written 44L (please give proper information). Another aspect is related to the side handle. For certain models i have seen that the side handle is on the left hand side (as you look at the front of the backpack), while at the Equator 2.0 (and few other models) is on the right hand side. I don't know what's the logic behind it but personally i find it more practical to be on the left hand side. Anyway that's not really a big deal. I shall come back with a proper review after i shall travel with it, see how it feels on my back fully loaded and how much stuff i can fit inside. All the best!

Where has this bag been all my life?!
This is a fantastic bag that is maximum capacity but keeps your hands free for travelling alone with a small baby. It holds so much and is extremely comfortable to wear. Absolutely cannot recommend this enough.

Fist view, error the concept
Hi,
I just go my Metz bag and Equator bag delivered to Belgium, perfect on time.
When you get a close look to both, you will see that the 4 straps of the Metz include the main zipper when pulling on them. That means that you release the force of the interieur from the zipper to the straps, this is good and its garantie a long life of zippers.
With the Equator it is not like that, during the making process you can see that both sides of the straps are mounted on each other and must be put together on the side of the bag, as they are together, the female side of the strap can not be put on the other side of the mainzipper and that is very bad.
When putting the bag FULL, and using the straps, all force will come to the side of the zipper and they are not made to handle that force I would think.
I will remove the female side of all 4 straps and reput them on the flap side of the bag, so when used, the force will be removed from the zipper.
I see why it is done like that, but you need to rethink as eas-of-work should be inferieur of strength-during-use.
If your travel to Asia or Africa on public busses, you dont want to have the zipper to open while the drivers are handling your luggage. Things can get rough, I can assure you.
I would have loved to give you 5 stars.

Simply superb!
I got this after many happy trios with the original cabinmax bag and I wasn't disappointed! Very strong and lots of improvements make this Equator the perfect travelling bag for those who like to travel with hand luggage only!
Lots of pockets and sinching straps and the waist and sternum strap are just some of the essential improvements on the original! Real proof that a wheel can indeed be reinvented!

Just the job!
Very pleased with this purchase - plenty of room, loads of useful pockets and compartments, well cushioned and comfortable on my back when fully loaded. Carrying handles are useful when it's not on your back, it seems to be pretty well made and as an added bonus it looks good too. I'd certainly recommend this backpack.

It's huge!
Bought his to fit my drone in with padding so I can take it on board as hand luggage when flying. Not used it yet but it's massive. Will comfortably fit everything. If I was to use it as a normal back pack for holiday I could easily fit enough clothing for a weeks back packing. Great purchase.

Great product, great quality, great price
I wanted something that looked like a rucksack, and performed like a rucksack, but maximised my hand luggage allowance. This was it! It was great being able to fit a huge amount of stuff in whilst being confident that the bag was within the Easyjet hand luggage dimensions.
The bag was super lightweight, looked pretty cool and had some nice features like bottle carriers and secret pockets. I thought I'd never use the attached waterproof cover but I was so glad of it on the rainy walk into the airport. The padded waist belt took a lot of the weight off my shoulders. They've really thought of everything. The only slight niggle was that the zips are a bit sticky/tricky, and didn't seem to ease with use.
I'm very impressed that Cabin Max can make such a well-designed and high quality product at such a great price. Thanks guys :-)
